Indicator Overview

About [CT] Pulse Sync Engine

The [CT] Pulse Sync Engine is designed to bring multiple parts of the trading decision into one coordinated framework. Instead of relying on a single crossover or momentum reading, the indicator combines several independent components: CDI Trend Engine for directional market context. Pulse Engine for detecting changes in short-term momentum and directional pressure. CT Flow Bars for monitoring lower-timeframe flow and identifying potential reload opportunities after temporary counter-trend movement. Signal Qualification for separating basic BUY/SELL events from signals that meet additional alignment requirements. Trade Plan Engine for automatically defining stop-loss and profit-target levels after a confirmed entry. The result is an indicator that can help traders determine not only when a directional move is developing, but whether the broader trend, immediate pulse, and market flow are synchronized. The Pulse Sync Engine can display CDI information, candle coloring, BUY/SELL labels, qualified arrows, reload arrows, and a complete trade plan directly on the chart.

Indicator Logic

How It Works

The Pulse Sync Engine is built around the interaction of three primary components: CDI, Pulse, and Flow. The CDI Trend Engine establishes the broader directional environment. Its normalized trend calculation is smoothed using the selected signal method, which can be EMA, SMA, RMA, or WMA. The Pulse Engine evaluates shorter-term directional movement and is used to identify potential bullish and bearish pulse transitions. Traders can require signals to occur only at bar close and can also restrict signals so they appear only when aligned with the current CDI direction. The Qualification Window allows a Pulse event and the required confirming conditions to occur within a configurable number of bars rather than requiring every component to change on the exact same candle. A Minimum Pulse Distance can also be used to prevent very small or insignificant pulse movements from qualifying. The CT Flow Bars Reload Engine evaluates market flow using a selectable timeframe and a configurable number of flow samples. When temporary opposite-direction flow develops inside an existing directional environment, the engine can identify a potential reload condition once the required pullback behavior has occurred. The indicator can therefore display several levels of information: BUY/SELL Labels identify primary directional events. Qualified Arrows identify signals that satisfy the additional confirmation requirements. Reload Arrows identify potential continuation opportunities after a temporary opposing flow sequence. The Trade Plan Engine can then build a trade plan from either a confirmed label, a qualified arrow, or the latest confirmed event. Stops and targets can be configured differently for label entries and qualified-arrow entries. Multiple target methods are available, including: R Ladder Custom R Ladder Structure Ladder ATR Ladder Measured Move Ladder Hybrid Ladder The indicator can display up to three profit objectives: TP1, TP2, and TP3. Runner-management logic can also be used to manage the remaining position based on changes in Pulse, CDI, or opposing signal conditions.

Practical Application

Suggested Usage

The Pulse Sync Engine is best used as a confirmation, entry-quality, continuation, and trade-management tool within The Traders Vibe trading process. For bullish conditions, greater attention can be given to BUY signals when the CDI direction is bullish and the Pulse Engine is also moving in the bullish direction. For bearish conditions, the same concept applies in reverse. A primary BUY or SELL label identifies an initial directional event, while a Qualified Arrow represents a more selective setup in which additional confirmation conditions have been satisfied. This makes it possible to distinguish between: A directional change and A directional change with stronger alignment The Reload Arrow can be particularly useful once a trend is already established. Rather than chasing an extended move, traders can watch for temporary opposite flow followed by renewed alignment with the dominant direction. The Trade Plan portion can then be used to maintain consistency after an entry by automatically displaying the stop and selected TP1, TP2, and TP3 levels. A practical workflow is: CDI → determine directional bias Pulse → confirm immediate momentum Flow Bars → evaluate participation and pullbacks Qualified Signal → identify higher-confirmation entries Reload Signal → look for continuation opportunities Trade Plan → define risk and profit objectives The Pulse Sync Engine should still be used with price structure, support and resistance, market context, and the trader's normal risk-management rules rather than treating every displayed signal as an automatic trade.

Configuration

Settings and Configuration

The Pulse Sync Engine contains several groups of controls so traders can determine how much confirmation and trade-management information they want displayed. CDI Trend Engine Normalization Lookback — 50 Controls the historical period used by the CDI Trend Engine. Signal Type — EMA Selects the smoothing method used for the CDI signal. Available choices are EMA, SMA, RMA, and WMA. Signal Length — 20 Controls the smoothing length of the CDI signal calculation. Pulse Engine Pulse Smoothing Length — 14 Controls the smoothing applied to the Pulse calculation. Lower values generally create a faster response, while higher values create a smoother Pulse. Signals On Bar Close Only — On When enabled, signals require the candle to close before confirmation. Only Show Signals In CDI Direction — On Restricts signals to those that agree with the current CDI directional environment. Qualification Window — 3 Bars Controls how many bars are allowed for the required confirmation conditions to come together. Minimum Pulse Distance — 4.0 Establishes a minimum Pulse movement requirement before a signal can qualify. CT Flow Bars Flow Timeframe — 1 Minute Selects the timeframe used by the Flow Bars Reload Engine. Flow Sample Count — 5 Controls how many flow samples are included in the flow calculation. Minimum Opposite Flow Bars — 2 Determines how much opposing flow must occur before the system can identify a potential reload condition. Trade Plan Trade Plan Trigger Determines which event starts a new trade plan. Available choices include: Label Close Qualified Arrow Close Both — Latest Confirmed Only Trend Aligned — On Can restrict generated trade plans to signals that agree with the established trend direction. Stop Loss — Label Entry: 100 Ticks Defines the default stop distance for trades initiated from primary labels. Separate Arrow Profile — On Allows qualified-arrow entries to use different stop and target settings. Stop Loss — Arrow Entry: 80 Ticks Defines the default stop distance for qualified-arrow entries. Arrow Target Scale — 1.25 Allows qualified-arrow targets to be scaled separately from standard label-entry targets. Targets The Pulse Sync Engine supports multiple target-generation methods: R Ladder uses predefined risk multiples. Default values: TP1 — 1R TP2 — 2R TP3 — 3R Custom R Ladder allows independent custom risk multiples. Default values: TP1 — 0.75R TP2 — 1.50R TP3 — 2.50R Structure, ATR, Measured Move, and Hybrid target modes provide alternative ways to calculate profit objectives. Each of the three targets can be independently displayed or hidden. Visibility Controls Traders can independently enable or disable: CDI Histogram CDI Signal Candle Coloring BUY/SELL Labels Qualified Arrows Reload Arrows Trade Plan For most traders, I would begin with the default settings and keep CDI alignment, bar-close confirmation, qualified arrows, reload arrows, and the trade plan enabled. Adjust sensitivity only after observing how the engine behaves on the specific market and timeframe being traded.
